Beneficiaries filling select medications will participate in a pilot program that will lower or remove pharmacy copayments at in-network retail pharmacies and through TRICARE Home Delivery Pharmacy Program.
The pilot program will examine how lower or no copayments encourage beneficiaries to take their medication as directed and lead to better health outcomes. The program may run up to five years, ending no later than December 31, 2022.
Eligible Medications:
Two medications will be part of the pilot program and will have either a lower, or no copayment at in-network retail pharmacies and Home Delivery. Original copayment amounts (not the reduced copayment amount) will be applied to the catastrophic cap and deductible.
