How to approve your refill through Express Scripts® Pharmacy Automatic Refills
Is your medication enrolled in automatic refills by the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy administered by Express Scripts? As of 1 January 2023, you must approve each refill of your medication through automatic refills before it is shipped. This will help make sure you only get the refills you need.
How to approve your refill
- You receive a refill notification from Express Scripts® Pharmacy: When it is time to refill your prescription, you will receive a notification to approve your refill through your Express Scripts account. We will contact you through your communication preference selected in your account: phone, email, or text.
- You confirm or decline your refill: Log in to your account online or through the Express Scripts® mobile app to confirm if you want your next refill. You must approve your automatic refill to continue getting your medication. If you do not take action or choose “do not refill”, your prescription will no longer be in the automatic refill program and Express Scripts will not ship your medication. Reminders for your refill will continue until your prescription expires. You can opt into the automatic refill again at any time.
- Express Scripts ships your refill: After you approve your refill, Express Scripts® Pharmacy will begin processing your prescription and send you updates on the status of your order.
