Accredo Specialty Pharmacy available for TRICARE Beneficiaries
What is a specialty medication?
A medication used to treat chronic, complex conditions such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hepatitis C and cancer. Specialty medications can include drugs that are more complex to administer such as injected, infused or inhaled medications and may require special handling, such as refrigeration.
Who is Accredo?
Accredo is a specialty pharmacy. Accredo serves patients with complex and chronic health conditions, including cancer, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, bleeding disorders and multiple sclerosis. Specialty pharmacists and nurses trained in the 15 condition specific disease states are available to provide an additional level of support to you and your family to help manage your medication therapy or medical condition. Visit accredo.com/conditions to view the specialty conditions Accredo treats.
Why is Accredo now an option?
Accredo is now in the TRICARE pharmacy network so that you can experience an expanded level of care when filling specialty medications and managing your medication therapy. On January 1st, 2023, Accredo will be the TRICARE primary in-network specialty pharmacy. We encourage you to take action to move your specialty medications ahead of this date to avoid disruption in your medication therapy and increased out-of-pocket costs using a non-network pharmacy.
