Then, call the pharmacy or check if it is open online. If you need additional help, call Express Scripts toll-free at 877.363.1303. Please note: Deliveries might be delayed into affected areas.

Medication Adherence Pilot Program

November 18, 2019

Beneficiaries filling select medications will participate in a pilot program that will lower or remove pharmacy copayments at in-network retail pharmacies and through TRICARE Home Delivery Pharmacy Program.

The pilot program will examine how lower or no copayments encourage beneficiaries to take their medication as directed and lead to better health outcomes. The program may run up to five years, ending no later than December 31, 2022.

Eligible Medications:

Two medications will be part of the pilot program and will have either a lower, or no copayment at in-network retail pharmacies and Home Delivery. Original copayment amounts (not the reduced copayment amount) will be applied to the catastrophic cap and deductible.

Important recall notice: Ranitidine recall – Sanofi

On October 22, 2019, Sanofi issued a voluntary recall of Zantac OTC (over-the-counter) products due to an elevated amount of an unexpected impurity (NDMA) found in the active pharmaceutical ingredient.

Express Scripts will mail letters to patients who have received medication impacted by the recall.

The FDA recommends speaking with your prescriber if you want to stop your medication or use an alternative medication.
